My name is Andy Stiller. I have built this site to provide a useful information for disabled people, their families and friends. I also aim to promote the disability equality training that I can provide.
About Me
I’ve been disabled from birth with a variety of impairments and health conditions. Despite many problems I got a Physics and Computing honours degree from the University of Sussex.
I had a serious health problem in 1998 that left with limited ability to walk and needing a wheelchair to get around.
After many years of full time (or more) work my health deteriorated. I had to leave my main job after being to moved to an inaccessible building. I also had to stop the part time work I was doing.
Once I left full time employment I worked hard to achieve a level 3 teaching in the Life Long Learning sector (adult education) qualification. I am happy to provide training upon request. While looking for paid work I setup a complex disability website, volunteered as a classroom tutor and taught myself web development.
I’m lucky enough to have a wonderful assistance dog provided and trained by Canine Partners. She has kept me alive, been my fury left hand, confidence and sole mate since 2014.
